AP has been teasing this print for months, and I have to say, it is growing on me even though I’m not normally an ocean theme person. The darker sax color especially, is really right up my alley. I like the necklace as well, and the material (looks like a glitter-dot chiffon they have used in the past) is one I rather like.

This is like… the best era of AP, IMHO. I don’t personally love this particular dress (I think the initial version was kinda small? It was never on my radar) but I love this kind of dress, and I know that it’s popular right now, so I hope they make a bunch of things in this style. That headbow is just so good.

Princess in Love is a 2009/2014 series. If it’s not obvious from this photo, it’s the dress with a bunch of random different bows on the front. I don’t like this series personally, and they used that floral lace fabric I don’t care for in this release, so, I’m going to be real honest, this could have come out already and I could have just straight up ignored that it existed. I don’t think it has? It’s a good time for them to re-release it, it has been popular in the last couple years. The new lace does give it a little more modern of a look too.

I neither love nor hate this series. It’s… it exists, it reminds me of Emily Temple Cute and the cosmo tex fabrics that every indie brand was using in 2008. It’s fine. I doesn’t feel like a piece I’d pay AP prices for though, because I associate this style of print with ‘things that are cheaper alternatives to AP’.
The sizing isn’t particularly generous; the apron skirt goes up to an 80cm waist, but the JSK maxes out at 95 bust / 79 waist and the OP has no shirring. So… again… it exists.

Overall Thoughts
While I love that they are re-releasing a lot of their solids, a lot of the new prints are a bit lack luster. I’d love to see some of the jubilance of the prints from the 2008-2010 era. While the new Cream Soda Mermaid and Lemonade Float have element evocative of things like Fruits Parlor, when put side by side, the seem a bit pale in comparison. Overall, I like some of the releases, but I like them in the ‘I’d buy this on sale’ sort of way, which isn’t really the norm for me with AP.
The bunny pockets has a really old school feel to it.
